Coffeee & Van Chats - E79 - Nat Ross: Big Sugar and MTB Hall of Fame
Back for another ride with host John Croom and this week's guest, Big Sugar himself Nat Ross. Ok so maybe that's not his nickname, but it could be. Because when it comes to riding mtn bikes has had a pretty sweet career. Known best for his endurance racing this masochist won multiple national and world titles in 24 hour races. Inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in 2008, Nat shifted gears and started working in the industry. 13 years later we find him heading up things at Pirelli tire as Director of Sales and Business Development. John and Nat chop it up over the drastic changes in those 13 years including new sponsorship models, that no longer require you to win or even enter races. Nat still races but his handlebars are turned these days in a new direction. The aforementioned Big Sugar is a new 100 Mile gravel race in the Ozarks of Arkansas, that Nat has created. Stoke level is high considering it sold out in 6 minutes. Pretty remarkable for an inaugural race. The gravel flies this Saturday 10/23! Tune into episode 79 of Coffee & Van Chats for details on the course and more stories from Nat Ross!
